TRIBEKA

For TRIBEKA, a vibrant and unique neighbourhood in Zurich, I had the pleasure of designing a set of custom icons whilst working at the DesignersClub that reflect the dynamic spirit and diverse offerings of the area. TRIBEKA is more than just a district—it’s a creative hub where local artisans, entrepreneurs, and passionate individuals come together to share their craft and stories. The icons were crafted to capture the essence of this lively, inspiring space, known for its blend of local charm and global influence.

Key Design Elements:

• Simplicity and Clarity: Each icon is designed with minimalist lines to ensure they are clear and recognisable at any size, whether on a map or digital interface.

• Representation of TRIBEKA’s Unique Spots: The icons represent the variety of places and experiences that make TRIBEKA so special: from cozy cafes, boutiques, and restaurants to galleries, workshops, and street food trucks.

• Global and Local Blend: Reflecting TRIBEKA’s fusion of local flair and global influences, the icons are versatile enough to represent both the neighbourhood’s rich heritage and its innovative, international atmosphere.

• Organic and Custom: All icons are custom-designed to reflect the handcrafted, authentic nature of TRIBEKA. The goal was to evoke the same sense of warmth and personality found in the neighbourhood itself.

These icons form an integral part of the TRIBEKA map, offering an intuitive, visually appealing way for locals and visitors to explore the area. Each icon tells a small part of the story, guiding users through a neighbourhood that celebrates creativity, diversity, and community.
